Centrus Rate Center Boundaries data is
based on the Rate Center Boundaries from MapInfo. Rate Centers are areas
within which rates are uniform for various types of local exchange services.
Centrus Rate Center Boundaries represents as regions all rate centers served by
at least one incumbent end office destination code (NPA/NXX range) as published
in an industry-standard data feed. 'Point' rate centers, such as educational or
governmental institutions, are not included. There are currently 18,550 Rate
Centers in the US.
