Centrus Municipal

Centrus Municipal Boundaries is polygonal data based on the Dynamap®/Municipal
Boundary files from Tele Atlas. It is designed to identify the areas of
incorporated municipalities in the United States using Centrus Spatial+
solutions.
Centrus Municipal Boundaries includes the most up-to-date information available
on the legal boundaries of incorporated municipalities. For additional
reference, unincorporated areas recognized by the U.S. Census Bureau (Census
Designated Places), are also included with the product. Updated and released
quarterly, Municipal Boundaries provides information on changing legal
boundaries for users who require access to current place definitions for
business analysis applications.
Information from statewide agencies who review boundary changes, the U.S.
Department of Justice, individual city and county clerks, and other municipal,
county and state agencies involved in the boundary determination process are
used to maintain the currency of Centrus Municipal Boundaries Data Set. When
combined with Centrus GDT Geocoding data set, Centrus Municipal Boundaries
provides an excellent tool for point-in-polygon analysis, enabling businesses
to accurately locate customers within the municipality where they live.
The Centrus Municipal Boundaries Data Set is available for all applications
with the exception of taxation and insurance related implementations. Municipal
Boundaries are available for taxation related implementations within the Group
